Lee Valley Water Co.

The wall in fig. 1 is structural. It supports beams which span the roof area. From these beams hangs glass, which forms the surrounding walls.

1

Inset into the wall are small jets, which 'leak' water into a reflective pool which repeats the design.

2

The wall itself was, at the time, the largest single cast ever executed

Swiss Cottage Community Centre

3

The swimming pool in the community centre has a terrace which is surrounded by this cast in place concrete sculpture.

4

The credit for the success of this work goes to the builder. It exhibits great care and skill in the casting process. One has to remember the vast size and complexity of the work, executed under building constraints.
